Hi, I'm Sapna!

I help folks cut through the toxic diet culture bull shit to discover how to refuel and find wellness while managing chronic disease. Using the "Mind Your Own Plate" philosophy, I've flipped the focus to encourage fueling your body with foods that meet your unique needs and promote health at every size or on every plate.

My Story

My health and wellness journey has been quite a trip.

I struggled with extreme fatigue, painful periods, and chronic GI issues for most of my young adult/ teen years. During this time, I began the trek into my wellness journey and started changing my diet to include less processed foods; I tried every new and hot health food on the market and did a HIIT workout every night. Just typing this, I feel exhausted. I still never felt refueled despite eating all the "right" things and putting in the work. I was in and out of doctor's offices who offered no more advice than staying away from triggers. So, I did just that. I tried multiple elimination protocols and every restrictive diet, which worked until it didn't.

A few years after college, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease and began taking a low dose of levothyroxine or thyroid hormone. But things just got worse. I was now experiencing angioedema flare-ups, abnormal bloating, and debilitating constipation. Hello, late 20's! I kid you not; I was seeing a specialist for each symptom. This led me into the specialty of Functional and Integrative Nutrition, where I began adding nutrition into my routine specifically to address the root causes of my symptoms. I took a closer look at my immune health, digestion, hormones, and lifestyle. By taking a holistic approach to my health, I realized my body needed much more support than taking a pill and staying away from triggers.

Food has always had a special place in my heart. It's a way to connect with my culture, family, and friends. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing memories over a meal. As I began exploring more integrative options and through my journey, I realized this is how I can help those struggling with chronic symptoms heal and find health on their everyday plate.
